Kadens Kloset partners with local bakers!
Cakes that Care is a simple concept- pair the needs of children experiencing foster care with a local baker so that they can experience a bit of joy on the special days that should be celebrated!
Kadens Kloset is happy to share the expansion of our services to include our new Hospitality Coordinator, Kristin Simmer! Kristin has been a friend and volunteer with Kadens Kloset for many years, and in 2022, she partnered with local bakers to make sure that foster kids had a special baked good on important days in their lives. She did this through creating relationships with some incredible bakeries in the Cedar Valley with a desire to do good and give back and pairing their expertise with a specific need. Pairing kiddos with a "Birthday Buddy" quickly grew to also providing families with cakes on adoption days! Cakes that Care took shape and provided 22 cakes in 2022 alone! With a desire to expand and continue, we are excited to bring Kristin and Cakes that Care to our Kadens Kloset Network!
We are also excited to announce that we have added bakers in our Troy, KS community as well! Cakes that Care is making a difference through bakers with a talent and heart for giving back!

"Hi, I'm Kristin and I live in the Cedar Valley with my husband and children. I became involved with Kaden's when I first started fostering 7 years ago, and quickly realized what an amazing organization we have in town.
I started partnering with local bakers to help provide birthday cakes for kids in foster care. This quickly grew to include adoption celebrations, and providing gifts for the children's birthdays. I am excited to expand our network of people that want to support and encourage children experiencing foster care."
